Chesterbrook Theater Presents
Performances May 7th, 8th, and 9th
Chesterbrook Theatre is proud to present “Newsies”, a Disney musical about a group of newsboys in New York City at the turn of the century who strike against unfair conditions. Students will learn collaboration and team-building skills, and get the opportunity to express themselves in a musical and creative way.
Director: CES Teacher, Ms. Cody Boehm
Who: Space is limited for Students in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades.
Performers ($350)
If your child is signing up as a performer, they will have a role in the musical. All performers must audition. Information on auditions will be forthcoming.
Performers must be willing to sing, dance, and act!
This is a commitment and students must be available for rehearsal days and performances.
Rehearsals for performers will begin on January 22. They will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays and will run from after school - 5:30 pm.
This is a guaranteed spot in the musical & includes a cast t-shirt.
Stage Crew ($200)
These students are vital to this production!
They will help backstage moving props and set pieces on and off stage, help with technical equipment and technical aspects, and help to build and set up the stage prior to performances.
Stage crew will begin attending rehearsals on March 10th. Rehearsals will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays and will run from after school - 5:30 pm.
