Summer Quest REGISTRATION
Third Grade
Week 1: July 7th - 11th

Each day, we will bake and decorate something that relates to summer time or the beach! We will make things like sugar cookies, cupcakes, breakfast pastries, etc. Students will learn how to follow recipes and how to use new decorating techniques. We will also make recipe books to take home! Teacher: Ms. Glass

Starting with the basic skills like catching and throwing, then gradually progressing to dribbling, passing (chest passes, bounce passes), shooting with proper form, and simple defensive positioning, all while having fun. Teacher: Ms. Mickey

Calling all Swifties! Come enjoy an “Enchanted” week of crafting inspired by “Miss Americana” herself, Taylor Swift. From “Paper Rings” and “Bejeweled” frames to “Style”-ish totes and “(Invisib;e) String” art, this half-”Fortnight” will guarantee you don’t have a “Cruel Summer.” We’re saving a “Blank Space” for you…”Ready for it?” Teacher: Ms. Edwards

This fun and interactive class combines both physical education and arts and crafts. We would play a game and then we would create art that correlates with the activity. For example, if we played capture the flag, each student will create their own flag with art supplies after the game has finished. Teacher: Ms. Quackenbush

In this hands-on class, kids will learn the importance of giving back to their community through exciting and meaningful service projects. They will explore ways to help others, develop a sense of responsibility, and make a positive impact in the world. From crafting care packages to writing letters, this class encourages teamwork and compassion. Teacher: Ms. Jankowski

Students will learn about cooking. This is a hands-on class where students will make a dish, enjoy eating their dish, and bring home extras to share with their family! At the end of the week, students will be given a recipe book to take home so they can continue to cook at home! Teacher: Ms. Adamson

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a jewelry maker, working with fabulous gems and beautiful stones? In this camp, students will spend the week working on a variety of jewelry projects using different materials. Our young jewelers will work to create things like necklaces, bracelets, earrings, barrettes, headbands, magnets, and key chains! Teacher: Ms. Nisonson

Calling all future doctors, nurses, scientists, and curious kids! Dive deep into the body to learn about some of its organs, systems, and other components that keep you going. Students will learn through multi-modal experiences of reading, writing, arts/crafts, and exercise all related to the body parts that we learn about each day. Teacher: Ms. Jankowski

Explore the exciting and infinite world of LEGO building with this one-week camp. Campers will complete mini build challenges, engineer working LEGO machines, create stop-motion LEGO videos, participate in large group builds, and free build to explore the farthest reaches of their imaginations. Teacher: Ms. Edwards

Take a ride on the Science School Bus! In this class, we will learn a new science concept each day, conduct an experiment, create a craft, and learn alongside our Magic School Bus friends in episodes and books. Teacher: Ms. Hudler
Week 2: July 14th - 18th

Join us for a week of magical adventures in Fairy Camp! We will learn about fairies, build a fairy house, make our own wands, and watch Tinkerbell. Teacher: Ms. Bradley

Kids will love to jump into an array of crafts including make-your-own playdough, crayon molds, self-portraits puzzles, weavings, and even ice cream in a bag! Each day, campers will use new and exciting materials to make one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Teacher: Ms. Nisonson

The slime craze continues in this week-long SLIME adventure! Make new slime every day, learn a science concept or two, and create fun slime projects. Be sure not to wear your favorite outfit…this could get messy! Teacher: Ms. Hudler

Perfect for beginners and budding crafters, this hands-on program teaches the art of crochet and knitting in a fun and supportive environment. Explorers will learn basic crochet and knitting techniques, how to read a pattern and complete up to two craft projects. Project choices may include Amigurumi and wearable crafts like scarves and hats! Teacher: Ms. Berthelsen

Welcome to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Campers will be sorted into Houses, make their own wands, and enjoy a week of classes in Charms, Transfiguration, Potions, and Care of Magical Creatures. With loads of crafts, games, activities, and even a little Quidditch, this is a week not to be missed! Teacher: Ms. Edwards

If you like to read exciting stories and to create cool crafts, this is the class for you! Each day we will read silly, fun or famous story books and make creations based on the characters and themes in the story. Be ready to hear some funny voices during read-alouds and to use a ton of craft materials to make cool stuff! Teacher: Ms. Bobeck

Students will focus on ball control: Master receiving, controlling, and manipulating the ball using various body parts. Passing pairs, wall pass, and zigzag passing are great drills for helping improve their passing. These drills also help with communication between students and their teammates and their ability to maneuver around obstacles. Teacher: Ms. Mickey

Bring your doll and get ready to treat her well! In this camp we will create and use many accessories you can take home. We will create items to have a summer picnic with our dolls, including making clay treats for dolls to use, a picnic blanket for your doll, and a doll house fit for the finest residents! We will also enjoy AG books and have time to enjoy the dolls together. Teacher: Ms. Hancock

Each Brain Games session will have a surprise theme of the week. You will learn how to become a master logic puzzle solver and to unlock secret codes. We will end the week creating your very own jigsaw puzzle. Let’s seeif your puzzle can stump the ultimate logic master! Teacher: Ms. Foeckler
